Custom Pre-War Sporters

Until recently, the design and craftsmanship of these guns was unsurpassed.  If you have any interest in custom sporting rifles made between WWI and WWII, I recommend you by the two volumes published my Michael Petrov.  They can be found through the seller JoJodo on Ebay and Gun Broker.  Michael did an amazing amount of original research.  Unfortunately Michael is no longer with us.  His collection was sold at auction by Amokeag Auctions.  I would recommend buying the catalogs (104 and 105) for the 2 auction that contained items from his collection.  They provide additional photos and reference.
